Refer to the engine tick thread. Fords ssm for the noise says it is most likely isolated to oil pan or bell housing.normal tick noise.

Ok, now I'm confused! Lol! So the tick from a 6.7l is normal. But not normal on a 7.3

Blew a converter on a 6.4. Actually wasn’t my 7.3.
