I may have a chance to trade my TPs for a MPD S472 set up. Would I see much hp and track improvements? Would it run decent on stock fuel? Would I loose much drive-ability? I DD my truck and tow about once a week (10k). My future plans are to run 60s or 85s and possibly some N2O.

Track times and power will likely be better but I really doubt you will be able to tow 10k pounds with the single.

If you want more power sell your 71 and upgrade to the 72. And then throw some fuel at it as well. That should get you between 60-75 hp more depending on what fuel you go with.

Well that sucks. I'd love to go with a 72mm but with a kid due in march the wife has the chains on me. I was just considering this since it wasn't goin to cost much if anything.

What are the specs on the 72? If you have another stock vgt, you could try the 72 as a single, and if it doesn't work, pair it up with a stock vgt.

Your not going to tow with a 472 single, now throw a 362 on there as a HP and you could but not by its self. It would be a faster truck just not a tow pig.

All depends on how much fuel you want to throw at it. But I'd say do at least 110's and either a dual fueler set up or a II dragon pump.

The thing is I more than likely won't be doin fuel for a while. At least til the baby is home and healthy. So right now Im looking to improve on stock fuel.

eh.... I wouldnt give up my compounds for a single. If I were you id sell the 71mm and buy a 72 or 76mm to bolt on. Spend the extra $$ you wanted to spend on fuel and spend it in the 76mm. Itd be a very quick truck and youll be able to tow without a problem

could go with a single s366 on stock fuel for a while.. then add an s480 over it with some fuel down the road. that what I was going to do. plans have changed since.

thats a good option too. I was thinking about that but then decided itd be more cost effective to just do it once instead of changing piping around again later. So now I have the s366 on deck with a gt4718 ordered (88mm)

The only reason I'm considering this is because this guy wants to trade his set up for tow powers. What would you guys think that set up would be worth? He said it's less than 1k on it. I'm thinkin now maybe I trade him, sell his, then buy tow + powers.
