Towing heavy with 6.7 H&S

F-350, 3.73 gears, deleted, S&B, H&S on Performance tune.

Towed 15.5 K, 40 foot, enclosed, 1 foot extended height GN

100 miles, cruise control along I-10 75 MPH. Never, downshifted uphill. 9.8 MPG

100 miles, cruise control along I-10 70 MPH, Never downshifted uphill. 10.5 MPG

Overall trip, 418 miles, a lot of back roads, and 55 mph highways, and a few stops, with about 40 minutes combined idle time. 10.2 MPG once I parked the trailer.

Also... EGTs....

I stayed on CC up every hill, and saw 5-6% grades, lasting over 2 miles, and NEVER had EGTs creep over 1125.... Usually got up to 1050 or so, but some of the longer grades saw it creep a bit higher.

They just tow so well. I've had 25,500 behind my truck and it handled it quite well. It was on flat land though. 15K is the most I have had on a long trip and I did about the same as you 10mpg average and just let the cruise on up the hills along I-70 egts only got over 1000 once or twice

I love the way they tow. I pulled 19k on my 30' tandem dually there other day and it honestly made my 6.4 look stupid.

Hows the oil temps?

I did not have oil temps on the MM, but I did constantly scan across my analog gauges often, and the oil temp needle was never anything out of the norm.

I felt the same when I borrowed my cousins head to head from my 6.4 to this 6.7 all stock downshifted never batted an eye and pulled it like a boss.

It stayed around 199 most of the time. when I was accelerating often, through town, I saw it up to 205.... that is about it...

I'll have close to 20 K behind me tomorrow evening... Ill post up some more results.

They haul great however the factory turbos do not like being deleted and tuned towing heavy, Have a customer that has been thru three stockers now, waiting a single turbo setup to be released!

Deleted, S&B, on a race tune... 19k, did great, again. Oil temps got up to 213, and never went above...

yup. I find myself a lot when my fathers 6.7 is sitting around, using it to tow heavy rather than my 6.4.
