For that elevation and towing, I would stick with stock fuel. There's really not a whole lot to be gained IMO in adding fuel. My truck made 694 with stock fuel and a 72 atmosphere, and I could tow heavy in an all out race tune and never worry about temps.

Thanks JD. What tuning are you running?

Sure thing. I'm running Gearhead tuning. I've run tuning (custom and not) from just about everyone, and my hands down favorite is gearhead. His tunes have shifted the best and run much cleaner for me here than the rest.

True story - I have a buddy (200whp_liter on here) that was a chevy guy for a long time, we always gave each other crap. One night I was driving a truck to Montana for a race and we broke down about 3 hrs from home. I called Justin and told him to go grab my truck and a trailer to come pick us up. (This was back when I had a 71mm atmo and a tune, stock everything else). Long story short, 3 months later he sold his EFI duramax, and now owns a 6.4 with Gearhead tunes and an Elite 71mm atmosphere.

It's a blast on the street, and seeing as you live in the mountains, I'm confident you will love it.

Nice. Ya I'm definitely leaning that way now. I guess I'll have to get this done and start coming to the meets and dynos and crap over there, since anything we have on this side of the hill is a joke.

Very nice. Will you be coming to diesels on the mountain/Truck fest this weekend?

If I can help you with an atmosphere charger, let me know.

I've been running a single for a few years now, its no tow monster thats for sure. Faster than it was with the stock turbos hands down though, but your going the wrong direction if you want better towing.
