Trans banging

So my truck seems to one up me every time I fix something. Trans was just rebuilt about six months ago and worked fine. Had my pcm reflashed by ford when I took the truck back to the shop because the mechanic recommended it and the shift into 3rd and 4th was kinda firm but now under heavy acceleration, normally passing on the free way it will bang hard into od. I talked to my local powerstroke mechanic and he said that switching to a pmt pcm would fix my issue. Don't know if im being fed bs or what so id figured I would ask

From reading on the forums, i have gathered that the pmt pcms are better for shifting and are the preferred pcm for tuners

what exactly is a "PMT"

and im assumeing that PCM is powertrain control module.
Are these " PMT PCM's " available for 6.4's

That is a strategy code flashed to a 7.3 PCM. Nothing for 6.4s

And you can get your current PCM flashed to a PMT if need be OP
