Truck randomly died tonight.

I was sitting at a red light this evening, changed tunes on the chip and the truck just dies. It would just crank over and never hit a lick. We let it sit for a few minutes and it fired right off like nothing was wrong. Am I right to think that it's something electrical or what else could it be?

First time it's done this, I've noticed before that it will lope a little when I change tunes.

Did it do it when you just turn the knob one click at a time or did you just crank around?

I went 2 clicks and it was like I turned the key off

Check the chip and make sure its tight? I had one that was a little loose that would do the same thing. Might want to check it cause it will fry your pcm if it wiggles loose

probably a CPS issue, if it has never been changed out

I am thinking chip issue. Might have gotten a minute amount of corrosion on the contacts. Usually pulling out and reinstalling the chip will fix it and will leave you looking but :redspotdance: . Do yourself a favor, grab a scotch brite pad, hit the connector on the PCM a time or three. Do the smae to the chip. Reinstall, and feel good about fixing the issue.
