How long has it been since an oil change? What kind of oil are you running? Could be HPOP issue with thick oil not working well until it warms up.

if it fires up fine later in the day? (warmer outside)

you might want to make sure your fuel isnt gelling.

Sure sounds like the fuel is gelling.. Throw some additive in and see what happens..

I had a few gallons of 15 left I usually use 5 this time of year I'm almost positive its not gelling, ive had trucks gel before an it doesn't seem like that. But i will put additive in an maybe do a Friday at closing oil change ( just fresh oil)

With what CPS and from where? Did you buy it at Ford or International?

Check the nut on the back of the ipr? I know you said it only happens when it's cold. I'm just throwing it out there.

Return that crap cps and get one from ford or international. it's well documented that anything other than Ford or International cps these trucks have lots of issues.

How full is your fuel bowl right now?

How old/dirty is the filter?

Does your WTS light come on?

Any smoke from the tail pipe?

Sounds stupid, but thats the first thing I'd do. International CPS then report back man. hard to narrow it down otherwise. Then get a scan of that code so we know wtf is going on.

Ok New international cps is in truck runs good, I noticed fuel leaking out the fuel bowl drain so I ordered the oil rings for that from riff raff. I guess tomorrow morning will be the test with the new cps.
