Looking for an all white truck with everything I want on a dealers lot isn't easy in Florida.

My biggest issue are auxiliary springs in the rear because I have a truck camper and need them to control sway. I would like to stick with a F250 to keep the insurance cost down and the only way to get them on a 250 is to get the camper package. The camper package is special order in Fl and won't come with the nicer 20" tires. You also cant get a rear sway bar with 20" wheels...

My thought is to pick up a 2013 F250 on the lot and order the brackets, auxiliary springs and after market sway bar and install them myself. Most likely install the larger block from the F350 also..

Am I on the right track?

Yup, it should not be hard to instal overloads and a sway bar. Just make the dealer work them into the deal

It's usually just due to weight. If you find an F-350 SRW with the 10,000lb package you should be ok on insurance too.

man thats odd, they dont have any cost in insurance difference here.

I would just do air bags if your going to add anything.

Do a helwig sway bar because the factory one is so small i dont understand how it even helps anyway...

It was a call in quote.

They dont make the truck I want in a 250 model is my issue. I want 20" wheels, rear sway bar and auxillary springs only available in the 350.

Someone is claiming on another forum that the 350 has different rear springs. Anyone know the truth to this?

its all in the weight package of the truck, some have over loads and some do not.

you will need air bags no matter on the rear springs. The new trucks have soft leafs springs on them to make the truck ride better. I have a long bed with over loads it takes very little to squat mine down on the over loads. Im looking into air bags myself.

So just find the truck you like and install air bags and a hellwing sway bar and call it good.

I will never run airbags again, nothing but problems.

My current setup has over loads with Stableloads on them. Best set up ever with a truck camper and I can take them off when I'm not loaded.

Here is a link. scroll down to the upper mount set up.

Call your insurance company and see the cost on an F-350 with the 10,000lb GVW package. You get a 350 with a 250 rating. It is made just for insurance reasons. There is ZERO difference between it and a regular F-350 besides the sticker on the door.
