Got a eclb 7.3 that is boner stock. Want to add some 160/30s, a turbo, and wonder if the pedestal is the same footprint? How does it differ?

Am I stuck swapping to l99-03 stock crap to run a 38r or whatever or swapping to an aftermarket t4 mount?

Pretty much. That or switch to a T4.

Early 99 also has small plenums. You need plenums, pedestal, crossover and boots. I think the stock IC tubes will work OK.

Uppies will interchange, I know this for a fact. They won't go all the way in, but there is plenty to get there and seal.

I would get some billowed uppies anyway.

I got a set of bellowed uppies that have less than a 1k miles on them I will make you a smokin deal on them. For a super duty if you go that route. I decided to go T4

Thanks man! Ive got everything but the spider and the plenums. I have three turbos to choose from. And van pieces enough to make a super 66 or whatever.

Spider can be fabbed. The pedestal is shorter and everyrhing is outta whack accordingly.

Kc turbos will be releasing a 66mm rebuildable ball bearing turbo for the e99 here in a month or so.
Those L99 spiders are spendy. I've sold 3 of them and I get about $100 each.

Hi, Corey at CNC Fabrication told me he has a new line of ball bearing turbos including one for the vans. If you go to his site, you can contact him.

For the money why not just turn the e99 turbo to a 66? If you're only doing the 160s.

I'd put a ww2 and run it before I went to a d66. But the best would be to go the T4 route with an s362

I agree! For sure. I still don't have a shop or Id probably build a mount kit. If i went to the trouble to build a mount id probably feel inclined to run more fuel and a bigger charger.

I was hoping i had enough chit laying around to convert it to late 99 and throw this other 38r in there.

Dorman bellows, L99 pedastal, plenums, and syper. Buying all that wouldn't still be much money difference then building the E99 turbo.

It shouldn't be to bad with a .84 housing. I have 1.0 housing. It's a little laggy but does well up top.

Wrapping your new bellowed up pipes will keep the heat in them and get rid of lag. I really like BD stainless.
