Turning off airbag

Is there anyway i can turn off the passenger side airbag in my 2000 crewcab? I dunno why the couldn put a key switch thing in the 4 door trucks.

Air bag fuse. But I'm not sure if there are individual fuses or one for both.

The reason why is because it's Federal Law. To legally add the switch, there is a form to fill out from the NHTSB (or something like that) to get approval. They will send a letter stating it is legally ok to add the switch. Then, you can start the search for a dealership that will actually do it.

Buy a simulator, unplug the pass airbag, plug in simulator, done deal.

my 06 has the airbag defeat harness plugged in to a blank holder on the PowerPoint panel
same location the other trucks have the key switch to kill the airbag
i imagine it would be plug and play

not sure if yours is the in the dash and the same but it takes a minute to check

here is the panel i would need minus the key part is missing

The RCMs are different between trucks with on/off switch and not.

It will throw the light just plugging a switch into it.
