u joints question

I just replaced a broken u joint in the rear after putting in the snap rings the u joint is really tight any thoughts on why that is thanks guys

Smack the yoke with a hammer a couple times, it'll loosen up. Pretty common for the yokes to "pinch" a little when you press the ujoint in.
Shouldn't take a whole lot to loosen it.

That usually always works for me. Did a needle fall down and get wedged?

dremmel out the inside and get all the rust out of the yokes?

Did that as well Iwas out of ideas so I made go together but it tight enough for the snap rings to bulge out
