U-joints

I need some u-joints and which one are you all using? Napa,factory?

I usually only use Spicer. Pretty sure they are the OEM supplier anyways.

I've trashed 5 Napa u joints in two years ,
I always thought they were the best until these guys said Spicer

Had spicer u joints and dodge carrier bearing. And no more thump when I stomped on it at the light. I was $500 into it. Parts and labor.

Are the Spicer units greacable?

The reason I ask is I stopped at Ford today to scour all new u-joints, and the only ones they had were factory brand non-gracable for about $93 a piece.

Ya getting hosed.

Spicers are bout 25 a piece here in washington. Non greasable. Precision heavy duty u joints are grease able with a needle gun. Just put 2 on a customers truck.

22 a piece for those. I charged 25 to install.

whats is the best oil cleaner, right before i change the oil?
where are all the lube areas located?
and if any more advice about this truck that would be great. also when should i plug it up to the power outlet? and what is its limit of charge?

My lift was done at 4 Wheel Parts in Indy. Guys said keep the oem ones if you can, so I did. She does have 260K on her though. Worried about snapping one on the trail. I may get some new spicers, and carry them as spares. or should I put them on, and carry the oem ones as spares?

if it aint broke dont fix it.... or in hrt fashion, add power till it is... leave them alone unless there is a problem.... oem are spicers

Don't get the grease able u-joints. They aren't as strong. Find spicer part # and check eBay.
