well as the title says, today was no expected. So back in late July I got my tranny hot flushed at the dealership. thought all was well. Well yesterday I thought I would check my tranny fluid (haven't checked it since BEFORE the flush and refill) and it was very very low for being warm. at the bottom of the cold hash mark. I added about a half a quart. Drove around a bit checked it and added some more then parked it. Well after work today I checked it again while it was cold and running and it was mid about 3/8 on the cold hash mark. so I added some more and went to drive it to warm the tranny up. Well about 10-15 miles later I turned off the highway to go on a farm to market road and was easing up a little incline and all of the sudden it was like I put the tranny in neutral. Rpms went up is what alarmed me. So i was coasting along so I put it in N and back into drive then still nothing. (I was not romping on it or anything. Driving like a grandpa) Well I called my buddy to come pick me up on with his car hauler. It would move just barely in 4Lo. So we tried to load it up in Drive and it wouldn't pull itself up. It went into limp mode while trying to do so, or tow/haul flashing and idle went up, no response from throttle when in gear. I killed it, let it rest, and fired it back up. Still elevated idle. backed it off the trailer and we got it to load up in reverse. I was having to rev it up to 3500-3800ish rpms to get it to move up on the trailer. not constant though. Kind of like I was just revving it up. So we got back home and I remembered to check codes. It threw 6 soft codes:
P0715. Turbine/input shaft speed sensor A circuit
P0717. Turbine/input shaft speed sensor A circuit no signal
P0720. Output shaft speed sensor circuit
P0722. Output shaft speed sensor circuit no signal
P0791. Intermediate shaft speed sensor A circuit
P0793. Intermediate shaft speed sensor A circuit no signal
I also pulled up the torque converter rpms when the tranny first went out and it was still the same as idle in park and when I revved it up in park. Well when I got home it was around 380ish rpms. much lower than idle and would not go up when engine was revved. It lowered rpms.
It's never leaked a drop and has never gotten over 205* and that was towing very heavy with with rpms up. Runs around 160-170 while unloaded highway speeds. Never slipped enough to cause worry. just very very very little sometimes. And has a little case of 3-5 flare sometimes. So what in the world has happened here? Anyone know?
