Just when i thought things were good, something new starts lol. Getting a really high pitched noise while driving in my truck in sig. This is it today...seems to just happen under light acceleration, nothing on the highway or steady speed, and then i can hear it when i let off the throttle... it started with just a very light light whistle only at idle then evolved into all this. Now it seems to be going away which is odd, and my truck felt like it was a lot more responsive this morning. And it also started squeaking upon shut down and it didnt do it today...

This is it a few days ago, i almost had to park it because it was so obnoxious. I dont really smell any diesel in the cab, and can't see any soot marks or anything on the firewall or around the up pipes. Im kind of worried its turbo related because that'd be my luck. I took the air intake off and checked the shaft play and it moves side to side very slightly but not in or out at all

Most likely up pipes man. The bellows on the passenger side are the ones that make that noise...won't always show smoke signs...

I fought that noise for weeks, finally replaced up pipes and fixed it. Mine weren't showing any signs of soot either, but they were definitely leaking at the bellows.
