New pics. Needs a clutch. Blowing through my valair 500horse single. Thinking about going with a haisley Street puller dual disk... Anyone have experience with one or similar? Also purchased a dipstick flange reseal from riff raff. Works like it should. Annnnd I got the heim joint fix for the clutch pedal eliminating the plastic bushing. Love this mod. Possibly my favorite one, it's nice and smooth and gained probably 2 inches of clutch pedal push

Seems pretty quick for the clutch.. Was the clutch already hammered by the time you did the linkage mod? Just wondering if it was completely released and you had full clamp load.

It's got 250/200s and a 468 so it's probably North of 500. Not sure what you mean kole... It grabs right as the pedal is pressed as opposed to about an inch or two from the floor previously. Although I didn't notice it slipping before I did the heim joint mod.

How would u adjust a hydraulic clutch? Just by clocking the lever arm up underneath?

Im sure were talking the same thing--I was just thinking out loud about a possible install or linkage issue. With new clutch and less airgap, the friction and disk should be making contact as soon after you bring the pedal from floor. Yes, you are north of 500 and if you've been moving full power through it a lot, its likely just not keeping up.

It's not a new clutch it's probably 6 years old now. I haven't been very easy on it either since most of its life has been at this power level and I run the highest tune all the time

They have the full ceramic single as well rated for 600. Sound alike the clutch did it's job and is just at the end of its life. How did you like the Valiars drivability? I will soon find out as I opted to go with Valairs full ceramic.

It was pretty nice. My linkage was way off for basically all its life so that probably had some effect on wear and drivability. Overall it was good. Grabbybin reverse but I never tow anything or pussy foot it

Plus, 40's and now 37's with 3.55's with that power just might have had something to do with that clutch,,,,,,:poke:

Oh yea I'm sure. If I don't mat it or 3/4 throttle it atleast once everytime I drive it, it's a very odd day. I'm going with a dual disk this time tho because I want to pull it some and eventually it will get 4hundos and mayyybe compounds since I have a motor for it now

Most DDS i ve seen have a 3850# pressure plate. I believe mine now is 3400# and its deffinetly not terrible unless u are in city traffic, then just pop it in neutral. I can't imagine it's too much worse being only 400# more
