hey guys

I have a 1996 f350

I need to replace my vacuum pump but the problem is I cannot find a small enough pulley puller to remove the pulley off of it so I can then remove the bolts

What pulley puller do you guys use?

I have tried the one from napa and habor freight and they are too long

a link would be appreciated

thanks

Its been awhile, but i dont recall having to remove the pulley to remove the pump...its tight on the one bolt, but should could be able to keep moving the pump to maintain access to the bolt.

Remove the bolts in a circular pattern, a few turns on each then move on to the next one. This way you can slide the pump out as the bolts are loosened and avoid pulley removal.

Unless he means getting the pulley off so he can swap the bolts onto the new pump.

I just use a regular puller, nothing special.
