Water Pump Leak

How far can I go on a leaking water pump as long as I keep coolant in it ? 30 miles ? 100 ? 200 ? I replaced the clutch fan with electric years ago....

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie-pop?

Could be 5. Could be 5000. Eventually though that bearing is going to fail catastrophically and you'll end up on the side of the road with a shredded belt and your water pump pulley in pieces.

I believe the OP is running e-fans.
But yes the rest of us are going to know exactly what let go as we watch our fan blades exit the front of the truck.
