Degas bottle. Antifreeze, fill to the min. line on bottle. Don't fill to the max line.

If it empty you might have to fill it more than once depending on how low you are. When the t stat opens it will pull it in.

Your talking about the one on the driverside firewall correct? If so, coolant, minimum line cold is where it needs to be.. And just in case you don't know, use only Motrocraft Gold coolant unless it has been swapped out with an ELC..
