If you took the factory high pressure or even like an Elite high pressure up grade and piped in an S480 or whatever turbo to the passenger side fender well? Could it be done and what would the benefit of such setup be, what kind of power and drive ability would it have? Has it already been done?

It's been done. It works but how well who really knows. A member did it awhile back with industrial turbos and I think an 88 or 91 mm atmo. Made 1000 hp on fuel but was never backed up on another dyno, the track or anything. He also could never answer any questions about how much boost or back pressure it made. So really IMHO the set up has never been truly tested and data logged correctly to say for sure if it works. The hp number came on a loaded Dyno with a high correction factor. Honestly IMHO it's an 800 hp set up. Gating on a set up like this is the key you basically need to bypass both turbos in the valley once you start making boost and drive the big charger as hard as possible. It's also a bit of a piping nightmare but do-able

I'm pretty sure he's talking about a setup just like yours. With the factory style high pressure in the valley and the bigger one over in the fender well.

Ya that's what I'm saying, is the high pressure VGT in the valley and the low pressure mounted on the fender. No factory low pressure. The reason I ask is to go with say an elite 76mm Low pressure the cost for the one turbo is outrageous. Where if you had the piping and a T6 flange, the possibilities are endless and affordable. My question now is how hard would the tuning be and how well would the factory or upgraded high pressure handle the pressure of a turbo that size?

My bad I thought you were talking factory high and low pressure. Oil drain and oil supply, cutting the fender support, battery delete or relocation ect are things to consider.

I would upgrade to a 59mm turbo at min unless you are wanting to run 70-75mm atmo turbo. If that's the case I would just do tow power plus or tow power jr because of the simplicity and cost.

If you want to go 80mm or so then at least a 59mm vgt if not a 62mm. The 59 will be most cost effective if that's what you are looking for. Also from what I have been finding if the turbine on the atmo is big enough there is no need for a gate between turbos

So what would be the difference between aftermarket low pressures that bolt right up and another setup like what I'm talking about? What makes the bolt on turbos any better?

You have the obvious advantages - no extra piping, drains, down pipe flanges, etc which translates into much less cost, so that's good.

Having the turbos coupled together like that also helps out with throttle response - there is no piping volume to fill.

Downside is that you're fairly limited with a stock housing turbo.

Thanks buddy! It's way responsive, I love it. Especially for our altitude. Keep in mind it's smoke free :D

I love the way it shifts... Couldn't ask for more!

It was impressive. So what are your mods now?
