What do you think is left on the table powerwise from 60hp nozzles to 110hp nozzles?

Well I currently am running the Elite Diesel Tow Power Plus turbo setup (59/72) and have duel fuelers and 60hp nozzles. I have been kicking around the thought of going up to 110hp nozzles for a little bit now. What do you guys think the result of the switch would be? I am thinking I will net some higher hp and torque numbers, but just dont know how much.

When I had tow powers and 110s, ebp was way to high even with one gate fully open. I would personally stick with 60s, and spray it!

According to injector ratings...50 hp. Lol. That is probably pretty close, Elite would probably know a little better. How well does the 59/72 clean up the 60s?

With the 60hp nozzles and the 300 hd tune it hardly smokes at all even when getting onto it hard from a stop. On the highway when you roll into it hard, it doesnt smoke at all. I am not looking for smoke by any means, just power.

TP plus looks like the clean up really well judging from JD's video with just a 72 drop in. I wouldnt go higher than 60's on a tp set up. You will have mucho fuel and I would think that it would smoke heavily at will.

Spraying will make BP worse.

I have the low boost fueling set at 3. So basically it is right in the middle of the spectrum

If you plan to step up to one of Elite's bigger drop ins, when/if they release them or a high power atmopsheric turbo, I would say go for it and see what it's like. Could always pull the fueling back until you go to a bigger atmo.

I do plan on going bigger sometime in the future, but was intrested in seeing if anyone has actually tried the 110hp nozzles with a setup like the Tow Powers and what results they had.

I have Elite's 85HP nozzels an High Power X's and dual pumps an they have light hazing at idle an smoke on launch off the spray They do clean up though and run real clean on N.O.S With 59/71 i think 110's would be to much especially if you DD it at all just my humble opinion though

With 110's you will have egt's much higher than you want. With high powers and 110's I would see over 2000egt temps by the end of the 1/4 mile. I weigh more and have heavier rolling stock but I don't think the increase in egt's would out weigh the amt of hp gained from the swap. I really don't think you would gain too much from it either, unless you spray.

I will actually be going to 110 hp nozzles likely a week from today, so I can offer a bit of feedback. I will also be switching to my 38's I'm tired of looking at them not on my truck so it won't be a perfect apples to apples comparison. I would strongly recommend not putting such a large injector in unless you're sled pulling because there's no way the tow-power series can clean up that much fuel. The 60's clean up very nice with my tow power plus, and make 1000+ hp UNcorrected with spray. My single precision gate keeps bp perfectly in check too. If I didn't plan on big turbos, I would not be going this big on a daily driver, but larger turbos are in The future, and I don't want to run out of burnable fuel for the next series of turbo tests. I expect it to run as Erik described, getting stupid hot, in a hurry, but also make more power. How much? I don't know, but will have a ballpark idea in a couple weeks. I won't push my stock rods past 1000 hp, but I suspect there's every bit of 1300 uncorrected hp on tap with enough spray.

What I was thinking was that I could run my Black Maxx on the Hot setting at the track and such and then just turn it down when driving around the streets. I have another truck that I DD, but I do like to drive this one quite a bit as well. My point with this thread was to see if there was more to be had with the larger nozzles, or does the 6.4 fuel hard enough already with the 60's that you wouldnt really see a gain.

Try getting a higher pulse width tune on the mcc from Matt. You could go to a 2.3ms tune and gain more than going over nozzled. I don't ever reccomend anything bigger than 30% nozzles with tow powers. At 2.3ms with 30% nozzles there is way more fuel than you can use with 72/59 turbos.
