What is that plug?

What is the pipe plug on the block where the downpipe is? Not the pipe plug for the block heater the one above that. I'm looking for a good oil return spot instead of tapping the upper oil pan. Any help?

have you considered returning the oil back into the oil fill? I'm not sure what that plug is. what are you installing?
