Ever since the truck was bought in 2006 I have use rotella 15w 40. Never had a problem with the oil. My oil change is coming up and after researching I have found that people are not fond of rotella. The truck has 125000 miles and i want opinions on weather I should stick with the same oil or switch to a different brand. Synthetic?

IMO, if your truck runs good on the Rotalla, continue to use it.. Some people have good results with it and some don't..

:whs: each truck and owner will have a different preference...use what works best for your application and what makes you feel good about it.

Amsoil Series 3000 5-30 synthetic.
Tried the T6 but truck didn't like it much, so i dumped it, and went back to the Amsoil again.

Delo 15-40 all year long. My truck seems to burn through Rotella by
a few quarts between changes. Delo I may have to add a quart. I have
no idea why the difference.

I dont think I have ever heard of an oil related failure for any name brand
oil. The newer engines are probably harder on oil than my old 7.3, and have
issues that the syn oil helps with.
