Dual fuelers, 100% nozzles, gtx4202r single.. what stall converter should I get? It won't spool holding the brakes with stock stall

what are you doing with the truck? If its competition Id opt for a 2200, if you street drive it more than anything, then Id opt for the 2000.

Id go with a 2200 rpm stall... also... I believe thats the stall that a lot of others that drag race use with the 75mm singles. I think Mike at MPD talked to me about it before and said it was spot on, and I know he was racing and street driving it.

We have a 2400 stall with 100% and dual fuelers. Going 2700 when we swap it out. It's on our ccsb with 3.73's and 35's. It will barely spool. And unless something has changed most people are running a minimum 2400. There's not nearly enough stall for me with 2400. But I guess if it's ok to look like a coal train driving around then so be it. Stall only matters when your taking off. Once it's locked it doesn't matter.

I ran a 2000 with a single 75, then a single 80mm. I wish I would have gone to at least 2200.

I bought a 2200 to go with my 472 on stock fuel, hoping it will be enough to help it spool hooked up to the sled at the pulls this year

Can someone explain how say I got a 2600 stall how it will drive? Will the rpms stay at 2600 when driving till the converter locks or what?

kind of but not really. The rpms seem to always be higher until it locks with the higher stall. I know my truck is a 6.0 and not a 6.4 but I had a 2700 stall and the trans didn't shift nearly as well as it does with my 2000 stall. I think go 2200. Seems like with higher power trucks the converter stalls higher than the rated stall anyways.

With a higher stall youll also get higher cruising trans temps iirc.

I know when the 2700 stall was in mine the trans temps were about the same. While cruising though stall speed means nothing. Once the converter is locked it's locked doesn't make a difference if it's a 1500 stall or a 4000 stall. Correct me if I'm wrong?
