What to do with a worn compressor wheel?

Doing an engine install and I noticed the vanes on the intake side are a little dusted. They're still all there but definitely seen some dust through them. the turbo looks like it's newer and there's very little end play in the shaft. Can I just replace the wheel with an aftermarket wheel or do I need to replace the entire turbo. Seemed like the turbo spooled up well before, I'm just afraid the vanes are thin and may eventually break off and enter the intake.

How much slap when you try to move the wheel around in the turbo?

Barely any. The wheel is just worn.

You could try a wicked wheel 2.

Any end play, I would either rebuild or replace the turbo.

Why spend the money to rebuild a motor just to have a wore out turbo, (that probably trashed the motor in the first place), trash another motor.

Arisley- pretty sure this is just a used t444e engine.

If you ran a compression test on the engine, then plop a new wheel in it and roll.

If you didn't run a compression test, the worn wheel would have been a big red flag on choosing that engine as a candidate
