Im looking for some heavy Duty shocks for my lifted dually its got front and rear fab four bumpers and a gooseneck plate and a 20,000 pound winh up front the problem Ive been having is with rough country shocks the roads around here are awful and the rear shocks keep bending and eventually breaking over time because their not recovering in time and the angle im assuming. So what can I do to fix this?

I am running nitro charged shocks by Zone. I can attest that they are great riding shocks. I too was wanting a heavy duty shock. I tow a 10 ton gooseneck with a 580 case backhoe and they work great.

I have some rancho 9000XL adjustable shocks for the front for sale. They would suit your needs

Only 5k miles on them, practically new

Without stepping up to an all out race suspension, I like my Fox Racing Shocks. You can get em from Mild to Wild, and they are beefy, with or without the reservior. Several different heights to choose from. Etc... I wont get rid of mine.

Are you running these on your 450?

A shock with a bigger body should have a bigger shaft that should be able to take more abuse. But it may just be the rough country ones, a 2.0 Icon shock may be stronger than the 2.0 rough country. The shaft on my Icon 2.5 seems huge, I can't remember the exact dimension though.

i would suggest running the icon piggy back shocks, omegas would be over kill, the 2.5 smooth bodies would do you well to.

shocks are like most things in life, you get what you pay for.

Anything but there 5100 series. They have proven to not take abuse well on several trucks. I have the 5160's on my truck and I'm very pleased with them.

Had to say that... I just installed 5100's on my dually.. Lol

Who all is a dealer for the icons?

River city diesel, truck Toyz, PTP, and maybe one more.
Those are who I know for sure

Jared @ RCD is great to deal with

Sak @ truck Toyz will treat you right just like Jared

Haven't had much dealings with PTP so I don't have an opinion on them honestly but I am site they would treat you just as good as the other 2 listed above

We are a Icon, Pure Performance, Bilstein, Fox dealer..all have shocks for your application..

I'd use Duals in front, also it should be noted that only Bilstein #5100 will have a lifetime warranty, all others 90 day to 1 year with Fox.
