Who's running 325s on stock 20s?

I'm installing a ready lift 2.5 stage 3 on my truck and I'm torn between 2 tire sizes. I like the look of the 325-60r20 but technically the are too wide for stock wheels according to the website(Toyo atII) but I see people still do it. The other option is 295-65. Anyone have any real world experience with the 325s? Are they safe and are they wearing good?

I'm running them on aftermarket rims but they still rub with my 3.5 ready lift. They're a damn big tire! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1471312784.209045.jpg

Been running 325s on my truck for about a year now. They rub theradius arms a bit at complete lock but it's manageable. They wear a little iffy because the edges don't wear like the middle of the tread.

I'm running the 325/60/20 at2 on 20x12s but so far they are doing good. Put them on in March of this year.

Looks Good! This might sounds stupid but the fact that its on a 12 wide rim and I'm on a 10 wide rim, would that make the tire taller being on a more narrow rim and shorter on a wider rim? Or is it not enough of a difference to change the height really...

Think I'd be better off with the 295 65 running stock wheels?

I personally wouldn't run a 13" wide tire on a 9" wide rim...

I've heard that it could make a little bit of a difference in height but how much I'm not sure. These at 50psi are right at 34" tall. Thanks!!

Also the 296/65/20 tire is only 11 something or right at 12" wide I believe. It's narrower than the 325 for sure.

Oh jeez hey, I went out and measured mine just for chits. From bottom to top, not side to side they are just a c-hair over 35" tall at 60psi...

Yeah you're right, they are an 11.5 wide tire for the 296/65/20 and they say that they're 35.1 tall. the 325/65/20 says it should be 35.4 tall and 12.8 wide..

Hmm interesting. Your running the at2 325/60/20 also? That was measured top to bottom on my front tires at 50psi. I'll have to measure the rear and see if they are any different with less weight on them.

Ahh crap, yeah I'm running a Duratrac with 50% left still. I am going to the AT2 next since I hear a lot of good and their load rating is awesome too...

Yeah me and WHYNOT from Carlyle IL were deciding on tires and it was between the at2 and the 35/13.50 R/T. And we both liked the load rating of the at2 like you said. Only thing I sometimes wish it looked more aggressive. Here's a few more pics. The one is next to the 35/12.50 Mickey Thompson atzs I run on stock wheels in the winter time.

Looks good for sure! I was gonna get the ATZ until I saw the load rating. Also a really nice tire. I'm hoping that in a 295/65/20 AT2 I'm sacrificing some width for some fuel mileage to come back ahaha.

I've got 325/65/R18 Falkens (not 20s) on 5.5" backspacing, but you would for sure rub on something with stock wheels and 325s. I've been told from several places that 295 is about the widest you can go for stock wheels without rubbing.

TBH I will likely be going to normal 35x12.50 next go around, or something like 295 or 305s. 325 is just super wide, I get a lot of hydroplaning

I'm getting around 15-15.5 mpg around town with this and can get up to 18 with all highway and hardly any stopping.

Thats pretty good! I'm only seeing just over 16mpg on a straight highway run. I was seeing 18-18.5mpg with my old 35" Open Country M/T's but these Duratrac's sucked that down pretty good...

I currently have 295/60r20 nitto terra grapplers on my stock 20's with a 2.5" leveling kit and I rub on the OEM radius arms. nowhere else that I'm aware of though

FYI your truck is absolutely perfect man. I'm torn between running a 4.5" Icon lift with decent width tires & offset (like yours) or just leaving my current 2.5" Icon leveling kit to keep the truck more simple and saving for turbo & fuel pump swap later haha

I may have been told wrong then...I know our brush fire truck has 295s on it without a problem but I am not sure of the overall height of it tho. I'm sure that comes into play but I would've thought the width would be the biggest factor.

Thank you! I've actually been really thinking about lowering mine down to 2.5" with a little smaller tire. I'm buying a house and the garage is 7' so I'm wanting to get it in the door if needed. If you already have the 2.5 I'd would leave and for sure save the money for a turbo. I'm wanting a streetmaxR something bad!
