Zf5 speed hard to shift

I know the synchros are getting bad. Hard shift into reverse and second to third. Would it be cheaper to replace bad parts? Or do trans swap? If replace parts who would be good to do the needed work? And if the route of trans swap where do you find another zf5? Thanks for the help guys

For the cost of parts and labor I think I was quoted around 1400 to rebuild mine if I pulled it you can get a rebuilt one off eBay for around 1200 with a core
