Here were my temps cruising at 90. Mind you this is on 38's and 3.55 gears to.

is this tuning truly worth the $450 (200 for mcc unlock + 250 for the tune) investment over the canned H&S tunes?

yes... will it turn your truck into a fire breathing monster? no... will it make the truck much more enjoyable all around, make more power, run cleaner, and allow you to grow with any future mods you might make? YES

An MCC unlock is just a good investment for any type of future mods. The gear head tunes are defiantly worth the money

10-4. I put a call in to Gearhead today and explained my high (to me) EGT issues and he said he'd have matt call me and explain our options as far as trying to fix it with tuning.

Thanks for your input(s). I just bought the m unlock code as well.

6.7s can run pretty hot naturally. My egts are down a little from my canned tunes with the gear head tunes. At the track I was hitting 1480 where with the H&S fills I had to set my defuel to 1550 to get a 1/4 mile run in

I've seen similar. My ccsb 4x4 3.31 18" rims + mich at2s has an unladen daily weight of ~8300lbs and can kick the 1450* defuel before 70mph at WOT. Seems too hot too quick. I did just update my MMaxx to the latest files and it seems a touch better with the extra 1psi max (27psi). Hopefully Matt can help me mitigate this issue.

Gearhead MCC files are awesome in my books. Great street manners, significant increase in power, and spot-on shifting. Everyone that has had a ride in mine has been more than impressed.

These available for the 13-14 model trucks yet? I have tunes from SPE, IDP, & CFD, would love to give these a shot......
