Got my mirrors today they look great, they have the ford emblems on the inside part of the mirror so I assume they should be factory units hoping to get them on tmrw night. I'm happy with them.
Also got most of my fittings I need for my oil cooler setup, also checked on 5/8" stainless hard line to use instead of hose I will be going that route instead.

Got the mirrors on and wired up. I cut the pigtails off the 06 mirrors and wired them to the 08 mirrors. On the pass side mirror I have 2 extra wires there both blk and don't do anything as far as I know.

Those extra wires on the right side may be for the temperature sensor.

For the temp sensor that comes in some model trucks or is it a sensor for the heated mirrors?

Those could be power-folding. I have found it pretty difficult to find a set of '08 mirrors that are heated and lit and aren't power-folding

They arent power fold, only the pass side has it and supplying power and ground to either dosent do anything.

It's the temp sensor I would bet. Friend of mine got his hit by someone passing by too close. And the exterior temp gauge in the truck just read a insane negative degree till he got the mirror fixed

Thanks for the info^

So i got the MPD plate and most of the HPODS on the truck yesterday. I have to get some fitting for the plate as its alot tighter on the in/out ports then i thought.

Also gotta decide weather or not i wanna run -10 or -12. The oil ports in the block are pretty large so i think i might just go -12, anyone have any flow/pressure specs on the oil system?
Although i just checked BPD's kit again and they use -10 so I should be fine with that than.

Ill get some pics tonight, hopefully ill have the filter and cooler mounted.

Posted a seperate thread but figured I'd post it here to.
Hey guys,
So I just finished up my MPD oil cooler relocation plate install.

For the setup I am running -10 lines a FL1995 7.3L oil filter with a moroso base and a fluidyne cooler, no thermostat or anything. For oil I run 5w40 Rotella T6.

I also installed a dieselsite HPODS at the same time.

So I finished it up last night and went for a drive and all seamed fine, on first start it took a while to build LPO. Didnt think much of it since it had to fill the cooler/lines ETC...

When I started it this morning it took a while for it to build LPO after it started, outside temps were around 40-45 F. It took it long enough to not build LPO to set the check guage off on the info display.

So basically im concerned its running to long without LPO, im going to order a oil psi guage this week just to verify what actual oil psi is on startup.

Would a thermostat fix this issue, I was thinking maybe checkvalves to hold backpressure on the pump after its shutoff?

Any help is appreciated!!!

Well guys I need some advice.
I'm looking to order a trans turbo and injectors.
I think ill prollay go with a twisted trans since I've seen slot of great reviews on them.

Now where I really need input is on turbo and injectors. The truck is mostly a DD/play truck but I do also pull with it from time to time usually pull 10-12,000.
I had been looking at vgt's probably a barder stage 2 or 3. I'm just not sure on the reliability of them.
Lately I've been thinking about going non VGT.

Injectors will be built by mpd or RCD just not sure on size yet.

I'm looking for 650 on fuel .
Any advice is appreciated!!

A 68 and 175-190-205/75 injectors. No matter what size body I would stay with 75% nozzles. Hopefully keep gets down while towing.

I should be able to tell you more in the next 2-3 weeks as I am getting a stage 3 from barder and have 190/100's.

Twisted trans or from Andy Warren. As for the injectors and turbo, if you are sticking with VGT there are many options out there. Barder, KC, Vision as they all seem to be stand up people who stand behind their product. I personally run a Barder 68mm (stg. 3) and love it and am installing some Holders 205/100s along with it. I went with the 100% nozzle based on the tuner I use but as stated above the 75% nozzle will dump PLENTY of fuel and will get you to the 650 range I'm sure.

Keep me updated. I was thinking some 205/75% 7 hole nozzels from MPD would be a good match for a barder stage 3.

I interested to see how your setup does.

What injectors are you running currently with the 68. I was thinking about doing the turbo and trans right now since they are both haveing issues then do the injectors in a few months.

^^ I was running 175/stocks, or what I thought to be 175's. I didn't get an exact number but I'm guessing around the 155 range. I have the zf-6 so the characteristics will be a bit different, but to your advantage. It spooled very fast and drove just as well as it did with the stock turbo IMO with a touch more power. I'm really excited to see how the 68 spools with more fuel.

I think you would be fine running the 68 with stock injectors for now. As you stated above, 205/75s would be an awesome set up!
