Well just dropped the truck off with Morgan. I was actually surprised on the way there. My dash was saying 21.5 mpg but I hand calculated it and I was getting 18. Didn't think that was too bad considering the way my truck is set up. Well see how much it changes with this build list.

damn i think my 3.55 gears are hurting me some how at 65 mph at 1600rpm for 130 miles i was only getting 14mpg two days in a row, hot street isn't the ticket to good fuel economy unless my air filter is junk, did you notice any difference in fuel economy with the egr delete and no limit intake elbow, and cac pipe, or no limit cold air intake, i plan to do it all, just wondering which will make the biggest difference, I think the cai will help the most but i haven't been there, and haven't done that. i'm thinking the race tune could be the ticket

Honestly I couldn't tell you which made the biggest difference. This is really the first road trip I've took it on where I actually drove right. I was driving right at 72 mph turning 1800 rpm

maybe 60-65 is lugging the engine...? i'll kick it up a notch do around 70 maybe 1800 is the sweet spot for these motors.

That's been the best thing for me so far. I'm even lifted and weigh about 8500. My brothers dodge 6.7 6 speed was following and he only got 19.5 mpg

thats where i'm at in my 6.7 .. so much better than 1500 .. right on the edge of being lit is where you wanna be, but as low boost as possible. best i got in my green truck was with tow powers and it was right under 21 .

1800 is probably optimal since that is about peak torque, but like Mike said keeping the boost reasonable. Only problem with raising the speed is brick aerodynamics isn't helped by more speed.
Above 70 is the point where my MPG start to fall off above 75, I start dropping to 15, but I do have hand shaker and run 3.73s with 35s.

I thought the sweet spot was 18-1900 any higher killed me running 4.10's with 325/65's it would kill above 72. My 2wd with 3.55's like 73-74 better. That was on stock michelins and 18's. That's damn good for rims, tires and offsets.

Peak torque is about 23-2500 on stock turbos.

some OUO porn

Just got these in today. Big thanks to Jared for hooking me up. These things are heavy and massive. Guess I'll get them put on when I get the truck back. Sorry my camera was backwards

Nothing special. My drive line shop did the install on the drop and the new shaft.
Edit: also Jared did give me some useful info to share with my shop when doing the install which did help.
