Dan you choose to put you hard earned money into a one off build, how did you expect it to go. Im assuming you work in the oil/gas field you cant tell me you haven't been on projects that have exceeded the deadline by weeks if not months. The only big rush projects I have been on that actually make deadline, end up exceeding budget and projected hrs worked its insane. If these truck builds were so easy and cut/dry, anyone and everyone with some money to burn would be doing it. Your lucky enough to have the money to spend and ability to have your truck tore apart for extend lengths of time for a build like this. Put you big boy pants on and suck it up. builds like these are always a work in progress and have ups and downs. If you aren't prepared to deal with the time, money, and unexpected issues that come with them you have no business being involved in a build like this. I know Jared had a customers truck for a year and half almost if a remember right. Now the customer has one badass Harley ford from what I know of. These things take time and money period, I understand the frustration but either accept it or wait till there is a proven build/kit, buy that and not be the "first" or "only"... I cant see how any other shop that also has other customers to deal with and cant do everything in house could have done it faster and with less issues....

Just for shlts and giggles when in the last time a truck or major component rolled out of Elite's doors? I'm not talking turbos/turbo kit or "refreshed" transmission either.

I've worked 2438 hours since the beginning of the year. 90% of that, night shift. I don't put those kinda hours in to support a guy who strolls in at 10 and plays on his computer all day while I'm waiting for my mother f*ckin engine. That's not happening. Chalk it up however you want it doesn't bother me one spec, i might be the asshole here, but here's how it is mr Jared from river city diesel, you talk about me not having any appreciation for Tadd going above and beyond and bumping my build blah blah, Tadd gave me a time line, he exceeded that time by MONTHS. Now the same thing is happening, "5 weeks"...I don't care what your "reputation" is if you tell me something and you don't provide that, your a lier. Then to come up with every sorta excuse in the book... That's ridiculous.

Monday was a holiday? Oops. Cary on all you elite nut swingers

Your one to call a nut swinger.

Dan, your mentality shows, that you are a an item, to be bought. You were up confederates ass when they took care of your truck, Tadd was the greatest person when you got your motor, James was the best thing since sliced bread, and you were arrogant to flaunt your parts in front of guys who'd been waiting. Then, on top of that, your the first to point fingers. Your loyalties are chosen by whoever lets you get your way. Around here, that's signs of a spoiled kid not getting his way.

I find it hilarious that NONE of the big powerstroke shops will touch your motor, guaranteed because of your arrogance about everything, and that fact that you dont give a damn as long as you get your ways. Like Dillehay said, you pissed a lot of people off doing what you did, and all you did by going to the DPC was embarrassment to the entire Ford community by being unprepared, both vehicular wise and mentality wise. Then again, back to back nitrous passes for a giggle factor to show off DEFINITELY shows your level of maturity.

I planned on mine being running by August 20th, and the only reason it wasn't was because you and I are getting the SAME camshaft/piston profile, and getting stuff done takes time. You don't see me insulting elite because it took a little longer to get the profile ground. Its business. Be reasonable, for heavens sake Dan, how much money have you spent. Would you rather it be done now or done right? The worst part, is if something was done wrong, and it was done ahead of schedule, you'd be just as pissed. When you are the first of anything, do not expect it to be done overnight and done right. Estimated dates of delivery of product are exactly what they are, estimated, and as far as I'm concerned, making your choice to change grind profile, etc, you consented to doing everything else to accomodate, maybe everything that goes into piston to valve clearance doesn't register to you, because the fly cutting profile is different than with the stage 1, ask me how I know..

I commend you for your hours you work in YOUR industry, but just remember everytime you insult the people whose R&D has made it possible for you to get as far as you have, without us to make parts for you, all you have is a bad attitude and a truck that still doesn't run, regardless of how much cash you have in the bank.

Princess here nailed it with his statement. Dan you're simply a ungrateful douche with little man syndrome. As soon as something doesn't go your way you stomp your feet, have a melt down, and start whining about how done you are. Grow up, and get your head out of your damn a$$.

A estimated timeline is exactly a estimate. You think it will be done but shlt happens. When you have to outsource work you become at the discretion of the other company. I haven't met a single dam deadline I've set all year and from the looks of fall harvest I still won't. But what you don't see is me blaming everyone else.

In closing.... STFU already.

This is pathetic to read on so many levels.

Like anything communication is the key. All builds take time, usually much more than originally thought. Why Elite or anyone else has not figured that out I have no idea. Selling the moon stars and sun lining up sounds wonderful in the beginning. The phone deal is just silly, if Tadd doesn't want to talk so what.

Now I'm not sure how elites shop is or many other shops for that matter. I just have a question based off personal experience and from reading some of this post... But why don't these diesel shops invest in some machining equipment and hire at least one person to do only that? It seems like the biggest problem people have with these builds is the wait time.... Well that because these company's make machine shops do all their work! I don't even know how many months my motor was at "the machine shop" (wherever that may have been). Maryland didn't even put my heads on the block themselves... It just seems like a lot of wasted time and money. Especially when people are chomping at the bit to get parts from MPD, elite and many others.

This. I'm amazed at the equipment that some of these shops have, I took a few cnc classes back in the day and about the only thing I remember is how expensive even the bottom of the barrel equipment is...

Exactly, between our fuel/machine shop we've probably got over a million dollars in equipement and yearly payroll.

No concept of how much this stuff costs unfortunately.

Whitemamba spent an hour with me in our fuel/machine shop, he can verify this. Its full of equipment and the 15 engine builds our small company has going on.

Its much easier said than done

Thought it was about being worth the wait... Im not trying to start a fire here but its already been lit. Who even expects to daily drive a 1000hp Race Truck? Its just unrealistic. You can throw around all the cash you want, but its not going to work with everyone, and someone will always get the short end of the stick.

You said this truck was teaching you patiance, but apparently it hasnt tought you a whole lot at all. At least you have the money to build a truck, most of us are stuck chasing dreams for our trucks. Enjoy what you have and suck it up

Well in the real world spending money like that gets results. For example the marine industry.

the two most recent would be the 6.0/6.4 conversion truck and another the owner has not made public yet. not that you care you are just taking jabs at us.

I farm 800 acres and have helped doubled the productivity of sales of this company in the 4 years I've been here and put up 35,000-75,000 square bales of alfalfa horse hay between my father myself and 2 helpers.

What I do with my personal money is of no concern to you, in case you didn't know, I don't have 1% of ownership in this company.

Josh is the owner, so your statement is 100% invalid and irrelevant, but great try!
