So I am looking to install a boost, pyro & then an aeroforce scan gauge. I have a few questions: what are the best spots for the boost gauge to get a proper reading, pyro? Also, how do I install the aeroforce? OBDII? Will it work on my 1995? Thanks

Anywhere on the intake is okay for boost. Most people just T into the MAP line. The pyro you will want to put in an exhaust manifold(most people do drivers side). The Scan Gauge will work if you are setup to be OBDII compatible. If you are not, we can flash your PCM to make it be.

Right on, I am able to hook up a shoddy old scanner from auto zone, so I am assuming I am OBDII compatible. And by 'anywhere on intake' would drilling into the intake elbow be okay? Or too far from turbo? What about the intake manifold? I have heard the map line gives faulty readings sometimes. Would I want to install the pyro after all cylinders or can I install it near the last cylinder? Does it matter? Thanks for the reply!

You can either drill and tap the y pipe coming off the turbo going to the plenums or T into the map line.

If the AutoZone scanner works, then you are OBDII compliant.

Yes, by anywhere on the intake I literally mean anywhere. Pre-intercooler or post intercooler are fine. If you do not feel like drilling and tapping, then just T into the MAP line. You should not be getting faulty readings there. The entire intake system(including the MAP line) should have the same pressure.

Install the pyro towards the end of the manifold right before it goes into the up-pipe. This is the easiest spot to drill and tap as well.

when you drill and tap coat the drill bit and tap with some grease to help hold the shavings to the bits and not falling into the manifold and going into the turbo. just a quick tip for ya

Gravity will keep most out and the pieces are so small they won't damage it.

You must live somewhere that they have turned off gravity to save money.

Hate that its come to this in the United States, we are the greatest country in the world, we should be able to afford Gravity. Its as important as Health Care.

To the OP...

Drill, Tap and install. Don't grease, water, spit, or rub the damn thing. Drill, Tap, install.
