It has officially got on my last nerve..anyone come up with a little trick to quiet that damn fuel line down. I only get it at idle..one I put the throttle to it it quiets right up. I'm getting ready to bind it in sound deadening material.

No I have messed with idle speed idle pressure Ect with no luck

So far the best thing I have done is lowered the rail pressure to ,3800 @ idle

I plan on pulling my dash and sound deadening my firewall at some point. I sound deadened the doors and some of the air space in my dash and it helped quite a bit. I bet insulating the cab would be huge for you.

I have the RCD dual fuelers but it makes the same noise. I noticed that if I touched it while running it would quiet down immensely. So if you can make a support bracket I bet it quiets down. But I'm also not familiar with the Elite setup which I assume you are running? I zip tied my return line to it to see what happened and it cut the noise in half acting as a vibration damper.

I split a rubber hose down the middle and slid it down the line where it runs down the intake. I also secured the line right where it makes the 90 to run to the back pump. So far its been real quiet.

Mike,

I have the rubber hose from where it turns to go back.......

91 turbo,

Same here, If I grab it, it get real quiet.

JD,

Gutted the cab and sound deadened the entire thing......that little line still sings out real good.

try clamping the line to hold it. This is what I did. You can see where I put a rubber insulated p clamp right after the 90.

my silver truck did it really bad at first, then after it went to elite it came back damn near silent, aside from the pulley squeak.

I'm not saying its out of the question but I haven't solved the actual vibration issue.

Lowering rail pressure was by far the best thing I did. I don't have rubber hose or a clamp on the line as I was really trying to get it tuned out first.

I might try that and see if the noise is gone or almost gone.

The part that kills me is when my truck is cold it makes no noise, part of me thinks its in the tuning

Bingo!!!!!!!Same here!!!!! I just hope it's not the pump cavatating and throwing the noise out to/through the line.
