If you are only seeing 72psi ebp I would say your wastegate is working just perfect. I am 85psi+ with larger tunes. And I think the sensor only reads to 86.xxx. Tunes change the boost too. Like I said. My truck has always seemed to be higher than normal for boost. Which doesn't help back pressure either.

72 on the mini maxx = 86.7 on the Dashdaq (@ sea level)

I have hit 50psi w/ a set of torque tows on hot street. Have never ran race, would assume it's pull a Lil more. My EGTs just have me bothered, just rolling into it getting onto the highway mine will creep up to 800's sometimes 900's around 55-60mph right when it locks into overdrive. Then once I get to 65-70 & set cruise they drop off back to low 600's. is this normal?

ya, I just always see people saying I never see 800 towing bla bla bla. I just sit & scratch my head & wonder how thats possible. It never goes over 1100 even towing
12-15k up huge grades @ 75mph. Its not excessive heat I'm worried about, was just curious of the claims others have made.

Well I am pulling hills from MA- PA that are long and steep. Enough to put the big rigs down to 30-35mph. My truck and 36ft enclosed gooseneck on the last trip was 23,800lbs gcw. So a little over 15k in tow. Some hills I am at 40-42 psi boost for minutes at a time. Which will hold me right at 70 mph in overdrive. I believe a few of the longer hills are a 5-6% grade. Most I ever see temp wise is if I fall below 70 mph, right before it downshifts it will hit 1100 degrees. But normally a max off 1000 on a hot day. The intercooler dropped my towing egt 150-175 degrees. This is also towing on the Spartan 250 tune. I limit my foot to about 42-43 psi boost in any gear. I consider that my safe limit for power. Running the bigger tune and limiting the boost give me enough lower rpm torque that the truck almost never downshifts. I use to tow with the spartan 275 before the 71mm

Ipkyss I remember our convo we had about this before, my truck ran cooler in Gearhead hot street than it does in street. Towing & not towing, trans just isn't gonna last. Pulls great was never concerned of high temps. Was always just curious on if it "should" be doing better w/ EGT's.

After replacing everything under the hood, I nit pick everything the truck does or doesn't do now.

That intercooler sounds to be a real nice upgrade!! I need to get in gear w/ getting the no limit piping & CAI!

Spartan 250 is the smallest tune I have ever used on my truck. My 2010 has the 210 loaded, but I don't care for it. Kinda dead on the low end. Unfortunately I am not the only one driving it and I don't need my guys trying to drift corners in a work truck with anymore power.

I keep saying my trans is not going to last... But its still going. I figure it will wait till I am six hours from home to let go.

Sometimes I wish I didn't pay attention to the truck so well, I would probably enjoy it more. Temp changes 2 degrees and I wonder why

Well my dashdaq is right above my rear view mirror. And since I grew up driving big trucks and trailers. I watch watch my mirrors like a hawk anyways. When I'm not loaded or towing in flat areas. I tend to just shut it off. Then other times I think it helps keep me awake and alert.

I think it looks good. And yes. The filter is slightly crushed. My two year old daughter decided to use it as a seat. One of those things you can only laugh about.

Remember bud, there are a lot of ways to keep those from creeping up... Not really sure what mods you have done, but Intake, intercooler, no limit pipes, turbo upgrades, ported manifolds, down pipe, weight, gears, ambient, grade, duration, ect allllll go into what you'll see on that DD.

If you get the airflow maxing out she'll stay cool... If your really worried about it get intake, no limit, and intercooler to start... I bet you see not only a big drop, but also the rate at which the temps climb will greatly decrease. If you end up doing it let us know because i'd love to also! I did just get my no limit piping the other day tho

And now back on track lol

I guess it all depends on the hills, weight and height of load.
I cant keep my temps below 1000 for anything towing up hills around me, this is either on the tow tune or the street tune from Innovative. The only way I can keep boost in the 42-43 range, run the tow tune. Street tune will hit 50 quick if I dont watch it this is with 4.88's also.
I have 4" TB back, No Limit Intercooler, cold side pipe and AFE drop in filter.

I have an AFE CAI, EGR delete, 4 inch downpipe, studded & a set of Torque tows 71/59. I need to get that restrictive factory cold side pipe replaced w/ a no limit set up & also his intake
