The main deal with the single kit is getting the tuning right imo. It will be key as we have been fighting with tuning issues for a few weeks with a 366 single kit / 4.88 gears so we have had some first had experience. If you are going to be doing any towing etc with any kind of weight I would stay with a modified stock turbo set up. Thats my opinon as of now. Unless we can get tuning issues smoothed out at least. And yes have tried two different tuners.

Don't understand how you would have an issue with a 66 with gearing like that

Neither do I. And im by no means bashing the kit. Because the issues on this specific truck are tune related.Im just saying tuning is key imo. And I am not the only one who has tune issues I know. Its great tj's truck made w.e but its a different perspective when the truck tows 15k ish everyday.there is also a difference in a "budget kit" and a dual fuel 472 w/30 over nozzles. Over double plus more $ wise for starters.

The only reason dual fuelers,30%'s and a 72 was brought up was because someone asked about it. I responded with documented results. Both in towing 16k+lbs to rudy's and back, as well as a truck proven on a dyno.

no one was saying that setup was the same as a budget kit...

Cool.

I was referring to the original post. And other people asking about the 366.

Not sure what tuning your running or by who, but I have a 71mm single on my 6.4 and Matt @ Gearhead got my MCC tuning spot on. Might want to give him a try.

no im trying to stick with what doesn't work.:walkin: ...........

yes as stated in my previous post above "and yes have tried two different tuners"

theres no need for everyone to get all butt hurt, I was simply stating a 366 kit and a 472 kit dual fuel etc etc do not compare to each other since the thread post is Budget Kit Review, I never bashed the kit, I do not even have the kit on any of my trucks anymore. But it still have what would be considered a "budget style kit"

and the tuning we are currently using is getting better but still not where it should be. Hence my comment "tuning imo is key'
