what about one of these kits with a s472 twin pumps and 30 percent nozzles with a jerker behind it. drag and street use
That same setup has done 700 on fuel and 898 on a .110 jet in a 450 dually. 5r110

Don't understand how you would have an issue with a 66 with gearing like that

Neither do I. And im by no means bashing the kit. Because the issues on this specific truck are tune related.Im just saying tuning is key imo. And I am not the only one who has tune issues I know. Its great tj's truck made w.e but its a different perspective when the truck tows 15k ish everyday.there is also a difference in a "budget kit" and a dual fuel 472 w/30 over nozzles. Over double plus more $ wise for starters.
The only reason dual fuelers,30%'s and a 72 was brought up was because someone asked about it. I responded with documented results. Both in towing 16k+lbs to rudy's and back, as well as a truck proven on a dyno.
no one was saying that setup was the same as a budget kit...

Not sure what tuning your running or by who, but I have a 71mm single on my 6.4 and Matt @ Gearhead got my MCC tuning spot on. Might want to give him a try.
Here is a thought, have you tried different tuning?
