OP I feel your frustration. The one time I dealt with mpd was a disaster. Nothing was ever resolved not even a sorry. I lost out on alot of money but they didnt seem to mind. Doesn't sound like a trusted company does it??

When I studded my motor my heads had lots of cracks. Prior to disassembly there was no loss of coolant or any signs of head gasket problems so I just threw them back on. Been two years since I did it and who know how long they were cracked before that.
Having it revved out all the time would annoy the hell outta me. But if that's what it takes to spool a "good spooling" turbo then I guess you have no choice.
The way I see it if what he's saying is true you should hear a tick on every cylinder firing on every rotation. Idk about your tick but it seems completely random, no pattern or regularity.
