Last I heard nobody was manufacturing any power steps for the obs. I have heard of guys buying power steps designed for other trucks and modifying them to work with an obs though, but that would probably be considered a headache.

I can get better pictures later. Basically, we took all the shackles off of the SD frame and used some 5/16 6x5 angle we had laying around to adapt them to the OBS frame. The angle added strength and made everything a little more square like the SD frame is.

My thread I started called 2wd conversion has what I came up with for an RSK. It left the truck as low as the axles and suspension would allow. It was also very low budget. I used 4 pieces of angle and the rest was off of a super duty.

Yep, crummy pic, but I used all the factory SD stuff. Just reinforced it with some angle iron. It rides much better than my 97 F250 4x4.

Ok, this isn't my truck, but a lot of the idea came out of my head and I did a bunch of the labor. It's a 96 that was 2wd with coil springs in the front. We took the suspension from a wrecked '01 SD and made it into a to be 4wd leaf spring. Overall I think it went well. It doesn't dog walk...

How much for just the dipstick, without the tube?

K, so today I broke a rear u-joint, and when it broke it took the driveshaft with it. So my question I got is: what trucks can I look for at salvages for a new rear piece of my rear driveshaft. My truck is a SCLB 4x4. I assume any 3/4ton+ truck 80-96 gas or diesel will work. Anybody know for sure?
