Fuel sending unit and wheel studs

Drop the tank, disconnect the wiring where it plugs into the frame harness, and disconnect the fill and fuel hoses. The fuel hoses take a quick disconnect tool, should be 5/16" or 3/8". Drive the big plastic nut off with a hammer and punch. If you're careful with the gasket, they are generally...

    E4od occasional slipping

Little update.. Boy says the transmission is doing better, doesn't seem to be slipping. He's driving it everyday, enough to get it thoroughly warmed up. Apparently, a new filter made it happy.... Still going to swap to a sd harness and 4r100, as time permits. He wants the 4x4, and, I'm sure...

    E4od occasional slipping

It's not the brakes, sometimes it occurs after the truck is moving. Acts like the torque convertor just failed. Few seconds later, everything moves perfectly.

Just on start up. Everything looked good with the valve body.

    E4od occasional slipping

Dropped the pan, nothing unusual. Filter was tight, normal friction material. I don't think it is a fluid problem. I still haven't pulled any codes, so that's on the to do list. I'm pretty sure it's a valve issue, or converter issue, but, only when cold.

    E4od occasional slipping

Couple more details. Trans was rebuilt approx 25k miles ago, no problems except the po didn't like the converter lockup points when driven unloaded, i.e. no trailer. With a load, no problem.

I'll have him check those things again, but the fluid has been full, and bright. No signs of overheating.

    E4od occasional slipping

Looking for a bit of info on this transmission. My boys 95 is having shifting issues, occasionally. No forward or reverse at times, and it seems to be when the Trans is cold. Not all the time, and not consistent with the weather, but worse the colder it gets. I haven't pulled any codes yet...
