Your gonna like your set up when you get custom tunes. Im basically the same set up with all the minor supporting stuff and the truck rips on idp xrace tune.
Im gonna check out gear heads stuff when the weather breaks.
You cant beat that then. Id guess id have to give $300 a piece at a dealer so no go there. Lol
Ive been literally “left out in the cold” by brand new interstates that are $225 each. But instead of Napa brand i opted to replace with another set of interstate and they havent failed after 3 years...
You need 850 cca or better if you can find higher.
Idk whats good now but dont buy interstate, i have 850 interstates and they show good voltage but crank like shyt when its below 20 degrees.
Makes sense. Thinking about it that is a big ol piece of glass and probably would need support running somewhere to keep it straight.
Oh well, wishfull thinking i guess. After the rust crawls over the OE style flairs ill throw on some cut out flairs. That should buy another few years at least. Lol
Yes it does. I should have mentioned I was thinking for replacement sides for asthetical reasons. Instead of hunting down a whole bed thats just gonna rust out again anyways. Technically it would still drop a lil weight tho. Lol
This has me wondering if it is possible to cut all the outer sheet metal off and somehow affix the fiberglass sides to the original inner metal panels, wheel wells and bed. Maybe some rly hard core epoxy, or just sheet metal screws.
Like title says its a stock 2006 turbo.
It has shaft play, the wheels are fine, no contact with the housing.
It can get away with the cheap rebuild.
Idk if i wanna rebuild it, possibly screwing it up because ive never done it. Or just sell it as is.
You could “drop in” any camshaft that will fit in the hole. There is more stuff to consider before you mess with valve duration. When that guy on “fast and loud” says a cam swap = more speeding tickets he was being funny.
Or maybe he wasnt for all i know.
Well the Pmax is finally in as well as the Abosolut delta line (that i ordered about 4 tears ago lol)and a shyt load of random ****.
Im impressed with the blower, big difference over stock. Also the delta kit dropped the oil temp an average of 5 degrees which i am very happy with. Now it only...
Thats what i figured but ive never been inside a turbo. So now i just hope the housing isnt all dicked up right? Otherwise its a 40 pound paper weight?
Im looking at them. There is significant axial and radial play on the compressor side of the stock unit. Its not out yet but should be some time today if the mech gets to it so i can see if the hot side has play also. Im assumeing it does or if one side has play than the other has to??
Anyway...
