What trans, is it??

It will go into a gear but it acts like the e brake on and it just bogs the motor. While in neutral the truck will pull out like its in gear

2004 f250 : :fustrate: While driving down the road, doing around 45mph, the trans acts like it locked up.. so i skid to side of the road and pushed the clutch in and put it in neutral, while holding the brake i let off the clutch and its still in gear.. it wont go into any other gear..any ideas ???

I popped out the the oil cooler this evenin and the screen was busted, but still no pieces or shaving on it

Yeah ive cut it open and nothing in there

Ok so up date on this project, pulled the lpop out tonight no signs of scoring what so ever. No metal fragments or nothing.. could a high pressure oil rail leak enough to over work the lpop to give it a low pressure reading, but still have enough pressure in the hpop to keep it running? Just...

Yeah ill be checking that this week, thanks alot you all have help a bunch.. i guess i, going to just tear it and do head studs and all.. is there a recommendation on lifters and such and what about black diamond head gaskets any good ??? Again thanks to everyone

Ok drained oil and yes metal shaving were there, so i guess its a lifter.. how does that affect oil pressure at an idle, and not with throttle push down..

Ok going to drain it now and see whats up.. also pulled the hpop and its good ball is still there no metal shaving there

Ive held down the valve and it fills up normally, but ill be checking it again this mornin.. what would be causing the turbo to have that thumping sound that whay was throwing me off.. As far tearing into it, it probably needs to be anyways, ive got the EGR ****** and oil cooler to put in, so...

Pigtail is good no fraying or oil, stand tube looks fine also, im using a motorcraft filter.. ill check it with a mechanical gauge and see what i get.. took the turbo off this evenin and the shaft seems a little wobbly, it is a reman turbo that was put on before i got the truck..

Ive got a 2004 6.0 holds pressure while drivng down the road but loses pressure at idle, in the process the turbo sounds like its rumbling.. ive changed the pressure switch and thats just because i hooked AE up to it and it pulled the code for it, nothing changed with new pressure switch...
