5R110 swap - '08 to '06

I'm pretty sure there isn't an issue, but I'm just double checking. I have a 5r110 from a 2008 F250 2WD gasser that I was going to have built for my '06 Diesel. Since all the internals will be new I should just be able to swap the tail from my 4WD tranny and be set, right?

Why not just build yours unless downtime is the issue?

Use the converter ment for the 06 and you'll be fine.

That is the issue, I picked up the mentioned transmission for $100, has 75,000 miles on it, and was slipping in 2nd.

Use the converter ment for the 06 and you'll be fine.

nope. all they do is put a companion flange on the end of the out put shaft when its for 2wd use.

did you ever notice the output housing is the same????
