How do you pressure test a turbo? how's the shaft play in the turbo?
The kind of oil it takes to get a run away should have smoked so bad they shut the truck off way before any other signs became obvious . I call BS sounds like the shop ***ed up bad.

As well, I'd be asking to see the head gaskets out of the truck. It just seems more plausible to me that it is your issue. Trashed head studs is a hard one to follow
Your getting hosed
Filled the crankcase with water and ran away... Coolant doesn't lubricate well either

The truck has a Tow-Power Atmosphere. Tech is blaming the turbo. I asked if pre-oiled he said yes, then I said we could tell by looking at the seal if its burned then it wasn't pre-oiled, and then he was quiet. So that's tells me he's not being honest. I don't have any parts in my hands to diagnose what the issue was caused by but I get the gut feeling the tech is saying "Oh ****" and blaming anything he can other than himself. How do we know he wasn't on a WOT run? It would take a lot of oil to run away and the tech should have seen signs, like loads of white smoke before any run away. The turbo isn't snapped so how did it go from perfect to dumping so much oil it ran away and he didn't see any signs?? I could see it if the shaft snapped off and he kept driving but the shaft isn't broken. He said the turbo has oil in it, well with the stock CCV it would.
Sounds like he didn't hook the oil supply line back up and evaced all the oil and made up a run away story.
That much coolant/oil wouldn't be from the turbo that's for sure.
