Caltrac's work as good or better then any other leaf sprung traction aid. The only people that don't like them are the ones either supporting other brands or just didn't take the time to set them up. Other then that they can be noisy on the street and don't do anything to help the axle when unloaded.

For 4wd's a axle wrap bar will work well and good enough for most scenarios... But you'd never catch me running a strait bar on a 2wd.

They are really noisy for daily driving. It got old fast. They work at the track though.

What should I drop my tire pressures to? It's on Michelin LTX AT2 275/65r20 and stock 20's till next week

Yet on my truck they make very little noise. I had mine set up so they were touching or up to half a turn tighter.

30/25 has always worked well as a starting point, basically want the sidewall to start flexing

I did run into a situation and didnt know it untill i was testing my bar/shock combo that you can actually transfer enough weight to the rear to overload that tire pressure. Only real way is to do a 4wd burnout and check your contact pattern, i was severly overloaded on the edges of the tire and almost nothing in the center, 5 psi more air in the rear fixed it. Were comparing apples to oranges weight distribution and power wise but its something to consider

OUO's sure are sweet but they come at a price.

i run PMF and they do me well...

I went a 12.93 leaving at 2000 ish rpms (too high) and at 60 psi all the way around.

Yeah it was a good run but next time im going to try and do everything right (thats the key part!), and shoot for a 12.5-12.7.

In my area.... just a a couple of tenths hold alot of weight LOL
