All you have to do is take one of the pistons that is still in good shape and have them make the new one weigh the same.

Fair enough. But I'm getting a wicked deal on a whole new rotating assembly with forged pistons. As well I'm getting relief cuts for the cam I want to put in this time.

Good to know tho guys! I may consider it.

As much as I'd like to support other vendors, Tadd is taking great care of me.

Other then that hole everything else looked good on the top end... Injector and valves all appears to be ok. But still gonna get all the injectors tested.

So far it seems like the best of a ****ty situation is on my side.

Id get some custom tuning. I cant believe with all the money in the truck youre running a canned 300 tune. I absolutely hated how my truck ran and shifted with canned tunes. Get some custom ones made and loaded up!

I had a custom tune in the truck. I was only trying out the canned tune for reference that day. Non the less it wasn't a tune issue. It was a defect on internationals side.

On top of that it ran great with the canned tune. Lower egts, less smoke, smoother throttle.

What pistons were in it? I am also assuming they were uncoated?

They were international hd pistons with a thermal coating.

It appears it was a defect in internationals quality control.

That sucks man, hope this time you will have better luck. I hope this isn't common for the other that went with International pistons.

That sucks. Really weird spot. Is it a hole all the way through? Or chunk out and crack? Not to hijack but where do you have your injectors tested?
