is why i went electrical, instead of mechanical.

though, both have their issues.

Yeah. I hear ya....I dont see these guages being around for very long. The lighting is 80's porno cheese. The reasons I went with autometers is because, like you, Im an Illinoisan and wanted to support a local business and the local economy. Also they make a pod that matches perfectly the medium burl that the lariat have as accents in the cab.

The isspro gauges look better in pics and Im sure they look waaay better in person. I like the burlwood pods but if the gauges are that much better a cosmetic issue like that will get swept under the rug.

Im completely unimpressed.

Performax can run up to 17 gauges thru the ESP. You have three wires that go thru the fire wall and up to the gauges... A ground, lighting and signal wire...

EV2 are similar to most gauges but fully electric, offer warning lights and use the same type of connector as the performax.

The pod does not care what gauges are in it... FYI

The pod is thin and once you put everything in it the outer edge, close to the windshield, develops ripples along the edge. I dont know if Ill keep it either. It looks friggin BA though!

Ill dig up some pics of it. I know you can shove any kind of gauge in it but I figured Id try AM's gauges.

Whats the difference between the ev2 and the performax?

Perfomax is the line that uses one brain box and then multiple gauges daisy chained off of one set of wires. It really makes the wiring more simple esp if you want a lot of gauges. They also have some other cool features with the newer version.

Oh, I guess Id want those over the ev2 then. I think having fifty wires behind my pillar covers is whats causing it to ripple and look like shti. The old adage comes to mind "trying to cram ten pounds of crap into a five lb bag.

Doubtful. You're getting a different reading. And how can you say that unless you are monitoring both ways simultaneously?

Fyi. Id rather be called a boomer than a millennial or gen z

Boomer McLoud was a pretty good car audio place back in the day
Along with starlander Beck

Actually I think they are both still in business.
Even though places like Crutchfield for do it yourselfers has taken some of the market share.
