I have a Dieselsite filter kit on mine, you would be surprised at the amount of casting sand it catches in the first 2-3 filters after you install it!

I have a dieselsite kit too. Went on pretty easy. And as fine69 said, the amount of sand that it catches is pretty amazing. Really don't want that going through the water pump.

The coolant filter is cheap insurance and easy to install. I run the Dieselsite setup.
