It was a different shade, and also the gray stops at the doors so I dont see how it would have blended very good.

I'm not really impressed with the factory 05-07 bumper, why would you make the top, where everyone likes to stand to work on it, out of plastic???

Invest in 2 tire steps and a front hitch and make yourself a nice step to go in it. Best work platform ever.

It would really throw people off if you left those headlights but put the new grille on with the new bumper.

It should look good Joe. I like how your old grill is mostly white. Like I said, it'll be interesting to see.

I'm looking forward to seeing someone paint the honeycomb white and leave the bars chrome, should look pretty good! Always liked the 99' - 04' grille's painted up that way.

This is what scares me from doing the 05 swap. The 99-04s are wayyy stronger.

The bumper for sure... I've used the top of the bumper for years to stand on... Try that with this one, your going to have a ton of broken plastic. May have to make something that hooks on the tow hooks or like.

Front hitch blocks air flow... There is a reason I can run 230/100's and 250/200's without EGT issues (several but this is one)... No blocking air flow...

Even just going from this...

to this...

Dropped EGT's 50*, and Trans temps 25+*... I was even surprised.

I wouldn't either but I was showing it to you for an idea. You could make it for half that if not less.
