Ok so.Im stuck @ home Im very to myself & have only my wife&kids as family Im usually good on rides but in 1 week lost 3 vehicles now I bought this truck&itz giving me issuee.I dropped the tank this weekend hoping to find my problem lost a full tank but thats my fault,anyways fuel was clean the umbrella was laying in bottom of the tank.I wasnt able to find a rlde to go piece the parts together to mod the tank.Noway to the bank to deposit any cash but I had enough in there to but the diesel innovations kit&umbrella if needed.Im wondering can I skip the umbrella or delete the pick up all together & if so what should I do?Ive searched but couldnt find a clear enough answer.Thanks.

I think you are asking about the pickup foot in the tank? You dont need it.
If you don't have it, and don't replace it with something else, the truck
will get air in the fuel if the tank gets lower than 1/3. If you can live with
that then the truck will run. Don't let it get below 1/2 tank to be sure.

The tank mods get rid of the mixing valve are the way to go. The mixing valve
has a duck bill valve that can leak air too. I am not sure if the kits come with a pickup
foot, but I bet it is an option if you need one.

Just ordered my kit from Strictly Diesel. They have the option to order a new pickup foot as well.
