I just ordered an EGR delete and new elbow.
Now I have Innovative (3.01) and from what I understand I need updated tunes with a EGR deleted from the truck.
Anyone confirm this?
If so I dont want to send my tuner in till they get the update figured out but I want to install the delete.
Now can I just keep the EGR plugged in and tie it back? With it off in the tuner it keeps if from opening so I assume that would work till I get the tuner updated.
Or is it just a check engine light? I dont really care about those as long as I know the reason for it.
Thanks.

I deleted my egr before I updated my dash daq. I had a check engine when I would start it but I would erase it immediately but the wrench would still be on. I don't think it does anything for performance.

on the livewire there are user adjustable options, one will be for egr, tell it that its not installed...youre good to go

I have innovatives 3.01 and there is no piece of emissions on my truck, runs fine

Right on thanks.
I thought in the past though Eric said you had to have the tunes updated even though you choose no EGR when tuning.
The tuning would just make the EGR stay closed.
Well if it works for you that crap is coming off. Been on long enough.

Just incase. Tune it with the EGR still intact and unplug the stuff on the elbow and you should know right away

I didn't get new tunes after I did mine. But I only have a 2 year old version of Xtreme Mild.

Eric's, but on the other hand I have NEVER heard my truck do an egr cycle like the 450 does with Spartans lower tunes and my buddies truck who is deleted. He just bought the truck and he isnt sure what tuner is on it but I hear the valve cycle at idle

I just unplugged everything and started the truck. No light. So I should be good. I am going to drive it to work tomorrow and see. If so when the delete shows up it is getting installed.

Well drove about 300 miles yesterday. Combination of highway and stop and go, no light. Guess the fat pig is going to loose some weight this weekend.
Wish I could edit the title to this, mods do so if you can so it will pop up with a search.

EGR delete with Innovative 3.01.

Put the delete on yesterday. PIA. The top bolt for the horizontal cooler was froze. Had to cut the head off. Also the 3" MBRP cooler pipe did not really line up that well between the new elbow and the intercooler. I had to use a longer boot on the elbow that I had left over from my 6.0. Hope it holds will find out Friday when I pull the trailer down south.

I am good. Drove it more today. The boot seems fine. Pegged the boost gauge pretty hard on the Xtreme Street going over a hill just to see. The tow tune maxes right at 40 most of the time. Seen it hit 41 once.
Changed the thermostats and the top hose since everything was off.
My temps have been doing some funny things that had me thinking one of the stats was sticking. I was right.
Now the temps are back to normal and not fluctuating.
55 MPH, 3-5 degree split.
60, 6 split.
65, 7-8 split.
Normal in town 2-3 range.

Funny you say that. My mbrp also required me to spend 35$ for a 3"x6" Silicone boot

Mine was also a little tough to install. I got it to work with the current boots, but it's not aligned like I'd like it to be. Are the 6.0L boots rated for a lower boost number? If they're the same rating as the 6.4L boots, I'm gonna swap one over.
